Thanks for visiting the RUSA website. On behalf of the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA), I hope you find our website both informative and interactive. Over the past two years at Rutgers, we have completely restructured undergraduate education and the landscape of our university. In this process, we have re-designed student government as well. RUSA is now the official voice of students at RU, and is comprised of the student assembly, as well as campus councils (one for each campus), and professional school councils. Now more than ever, there are opportunities for every student in the Rutgers Community to get involved in university governance.
Over the course of this year, we will be dealing with hundreds of issues facing the student body. This website is your resource to get involved, or stay up-to-date about the goings on at Rutgers. Whether you check our news updates weekly, attend a meeting, or read Daily Targum articles about our initiatives, please stay involved in the issues around campus. We always need more people to get involved, so do not hesitate to come to our meetings or run for a position. Also, please let us know your concerns and feedback in order for us to fully represent you.
To learn more about the issues and charges of our committees, please check out the Executive Committee’s Strategic Plan on our homepage. This plan highlights RUSA’s main goals and strategies for the coming semester.
I am excited to serve as the first Chair of RUSA, and I hope you find the website useful. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any member of your student government. Without your support and feedback, we will not be able to achieve our goals!
